This is your chance to make a meaningful impact by guiding young minds, sharing your expertise, and preparing them for success in the digital job market.
ABOUT US
Women in Technology Uganda (WITU) empowers young women through digital skills, mentorship, and entrepreneurship support to help them build sustainable livelihoods. We focus on tech careers and business growth, aiming to economically empower 200,000 women by 2026, including female refugees and Persons with Disabilities, while creating 100,000 jobs through our online Digital Job center called Elevate Her Platform.
To get started on this 3 to 6 months mentorship program, you will be matched to mentees to offer well-informed guidance on their career path.
As a mentor, you will provide:
- Guidance and Insight: Share your career journey, industry expertise, and practical skills to help mentees understand the professional world.
- Personalized Support: Offer tailored advice based on mentees' strengths and aspirations.
- Skill Development: Assist with CV writing, interview preparation, communication, and networking.
- Motivation and Encouragement: Support mentees to overcome barriers and grow their confidence.
- Network Building: Connect mentees to opportunities and professional contacts.
- Role Modeling: Demonstrate professionalism and success in digital careers.
- Safeguarding: Uphold WITU's Safeguarding Policy at all times.
