An Overview

The Women In Technology Uganda (WITU) Digital Jobs Center, though implementing the 10X Program, aims to inclusively skill young women in digital competencies and connect them to the digital economy, specifically targeting financially disadvantaged young women. This comprehensive initiative is designed to empower financially disadvantaged young women, with digital skills and connect them to work opportunities in the digital economy.

Our Mission

To empower young women to become innovative technologists & Entrepreneurs equally influencing Africa's economy. Through a training institute, women focused on business accelerators and digital job centers, offering tools, resources and opportunities that allow them to thrive.

Objective

WITU aims to reach 4,800 young women through this program by December 2027 with 3,840 placed in work opportunities by the end of the project, thereby contributing to the overarching goal of relieving poverty and enabling economic growth through the digital economy.

Digital Skills Training

Is an integral part of our delivery in this program. It is our essential educational initiative designed to equip individuals with the knowledge and competencies required to thrive in today’s technology-driven world. This training encompasses a spectrum of skills ranging from basic and intermediate digital literacy to advanced technical expertise, aimed at enhancing employability, productivity, and innovation across various sectors.

Young Women: Focusing on late teens (18) to (35) age group who are financially disadvantaged; including those from low-income families, rural areas, or underserved urban communities.
